2,000+ imagery and map data from Kiama, NSW are added

2,000+ walking person's view imagery and footpath network map data from Kiama, NSW are now available on our map browser.

Over the past few weeks, we've been working with the Kiama Municipal Council and Transport for NSW as part of the NSW Smart City Innovation Challenge to map out the footpath network in Kiama including the street furniture, trees 🌳 , curb cuts ♿ , and marked pedestrian crossings 🚸 among other features for improved walkability and safety.

We have also mapped parts of the wild and wonderful 20km coastal walk in Kiama that attracts more than 1 million visitors per year. 🌊 📸

All the 2,000+ fresh imagery will soon be available on Mapillary too. We are now working to add the footpath network with its accessibility features to OpenStreetMap for broader impact and use by the community.
