AI-assisted mapping
In collaboration with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Cho Chun Shik Graduate School of Mobility, we have mapped the walking network on the Munji campus. The generated map data also includes 456 trees, 157 lamp posts, 34 pedestrian zebra crossings, and 14 accessibility ramps across the campus, all automatically detected and mapped with our proprietary DeepWalk™ AI stack.
footpath.ai mission is to build the next generation of inclusive maps designed for people, prioritizing pedestrians and walkability over cars. Witness the transformative power of this effort below: (left) Satellite image (middle) overlaid with OpenStreetMap data that only included the road network for cars and (right) our map data that includes sidewalks, crossings, and trees detected through street-level images.
We are working to map the other KAIST campuses in Daejeon, Seoul, and Jeju Island.
