We're sharing an exciting 10x speed demonstration of AI-assisted OSM mapping (with human validation) of the pedestrian infrastructure network at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) Munji campus using Meta's Rapid Editor.
The pedestrian infrastructure network including the sidewalk links (shown in Cyan color) and pedestrian crossings are automatically detected and mapped out with footpath.ai DeepWalk™️ AI Stack. The AI-detected map data are uploaded to Rapid Editor and overlaid on OSM. The sidewalk network and point data such as crosswalks are then added by a human with manual verification.
